This Policy explains, in simple terms, how TripTip may handle personal information when you use our platform or services.

3.1 Information We May Collect

  • Name, email address, mobile number and other contact details.
  • Booking, travel, guest and special-request information.
  • Billing, transaction and refund information.
  • Device, browser and website usage information.
  • Messages, calls or other communications with TripTip.

Payment credentials may be processed directly by authorised payment providers. TripTip does not require you to disclose your card PIN, UPI PIN or banking password.

3.2 Why We Use Information

  • To process, confirm and manage bookings.
  • To communicate booking information and provide customer support.
  • To share necessary booking details with the relevant Service Provider.
  • To process payments, cancellations and refunds.
  • To prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents.
  • To operate, analyse and improve TripTip and its services.
  • To send offers or marketing communications where permitted or consented to.
  • To comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

3.3 Sharing of Information

We may share personal information where reasonably necessary with Service Providers, payment providers, technology/service partners and other parties involved in fulfilling or supporting a booking, or where required by law.

TripTip does not sell your personal information as a standalone commercial product.

3.4 Consent & Marketing

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent through the available opt-out method or by contacting care@triptip.in. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully or processing required to complete a booking, comply with law or establish legal rights.

3.5 Security & Retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information. No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable booking, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, legal or regulatory requirements.

3.6 Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may contact us regarding access, correction, updating, deletion, withdrawal of consent or other applicable rights concerning your personal information. Certain information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate legal purposes.

3.7 Children’s Booking Information

TripTip is intended to be used by adults capable of making a booking. Where an adult provides details of a child or minor for a booking, the adult is responsible for having the authority to provide those details.
