The cancellation policy shown for your specific booking controls the refund. TripTip does not promise compensation above the amount that is actually refundable under that policy, except where required by law.
2.1 Applicable Cancellation Policy
The cancellation policy displayed for the selected property, rate or service at the time of booking will govern that booking. A booking may be fully refundable within a stated period, partially refundable, subject to cancellation charges or non-refundable.
By confirming the booking, you accept the cancellation and refund conditions displayed for that booking.
2.2 How the Refundable Amount Is Calculated
If your booking qualifies for a refund, the Refundable Booking Amount will be calculated strictly under the cancellation policy applicable to that booking and applicable law.
Any valid cancellation charge or non-refundable component forming part of the booking terms will be taken into account when calculating the Refundable Booking Amount.
2.3 Refund Within 10 Working Days
Once a refund request is accepted and the Refundable Booking Amount is determined, TripTip will process the eligible refund from its end within 10 Working Days.
Refunds will ordinarily be made to the original payment method where practicable. After TripTip has processed the refund, the bank, card issuer, payment gateway or other payment provider may take additional time to credit the amount to your account. That additional banking/payment-provider time is outside TripTip’s processing period.
2.4 Limit of TripTip’s Refund Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TripTip’s contractual liability in relation to a cancellation or refund is limited to the Refundable Booking Amount determined under the cancellation policy applicable to that booking.
TripTip is not contractually liable to pay any amount above the Refundable Booking Amount as compensation or reimbursement, including for replacement accommodation, alternative transport, fare differences, flights, onward travel, missed events, inconvenience, loss of opportunity or any other indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in this Policy limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
2.5 No-Shows
If you do not arrive or use a booked service and have not cancelled within the permitted period, the booking may be treated as a no-show. Any refund, if applicable, will be determined only under the cancellation and no-show conditions applicable to that booking.
2.6 Cancellation by a Service Provider
If a Service Provider is unable to honour a confirmed booking, please contact TripTip promptly. TripTip will assist with communication and, where a refund is due, process or facilitate the Refundable Booking Amount in accordance with the applicable booking terms and law.
Unless required by applicable law or separately agreed by TripTip in writing, TripTip does not undertake to provide, arrange or pay for replacement accommodation, alternative travel, transportation or another substitute service.
2.7 Refund Status
